Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, you will begin your trip from Arusha to Tarangire National Park. Tarangire National Park is famous for its dense wildlife population, which is most spectacular between June and September, that is, during the dry season. During this time of the year, thousands of animals - wildebeests, buffaloes, and Oryxes migrate from the dry Maasai steppe to the Tarangire River, looking for water. Lions, leopards, and other predators follow the herds. Tarangire is home to over 500 varieties of birds. After lunch, you will take a late afternoon game viewing, and thereafter we will drive you to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Tarangire to Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, you will leave Tarangire for Serengeti National Park, driving through Ngorongoro Conservation Area, with the option of visiting Olduvai Gorge (known as the cradle of mankind, with hominids dating back 2 million years ago). The game drive takes you to the vast Serengeti plains which are home to “The Big Five”, many predators, the Nile crocodiles, etc. This is where the Great Migration takes place. At sunset, we will drive you back to your lodge or overnight camping for dinner.
