Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, you will leave Arusha City at 8:00 AM and head to Tarangire National Park. It is a two-hour drive from Arusha. In Tarangire National Park, expect to see large groups of elephants gathering along the Tarangire River with diverse species of animals and birds. You will have lunch at the picnic site, with a beautiful view of the park and Tarangire River. Later in the evening, you will be taken to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, you will head to Ngorongoro and descend into the 610-meter (2,000 feet) deep crater. This crater is the world’s largest and most diverse volcanic caldera and natural reserve. You should expect to see a lot of animals and birds including the rarest ones: the black rhinos. You will have your lunch at the picnic site inside the crater. Later in the evening, you will ascend from the Crater to the nearby Lake Manyara for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Cultural Experience
After breakfast, you will embark on a walking safari during which you will be able to discover many things about the different cultures in Tanzania. Tanzania is home to more than 120 tribes.
